How It All Started

Hi, I’m Nadège Welsch, and I'm the driving force behind Be-a-chameleon. My life has been a fascinating journey of self-discovery, cultural exploration, and a deep-rooted passion for helping others adapt to new surroundings. Let me share my story and mission with you.

A Personal Journey to Cultural Insight

As a child, I grew up in Cameroun, France and Germany and I found myself straddling the line between two cultures—French and German. This unique upbringing led me to create my own cultural identity, and I became a bi-cultural trailblazer of sorts. Yet, I wasn't always readily accepted by either culture. This early experience ignited my curiosity about culture and identity, and it laid the foundation for my life's work.

Education and Early Career

I pursued my academic journey with dedication, earning a Bachelor's degree in International Finance in France. I followed this with a Master's in Global Risk Management in Spain, which equipped me with financial expertise. But it was my pursuit of a Master of Science in Business Psychology that would truly shape my career path.

From Corporate Finance to Cultural Catalyst

My career started in the corporate finance sector in my native Germany, where I honed my financial skills. However, it was when I was sent to Singapore as part of a joint venture that my life took a significant turn. In this diverse, culturally rich environment, I discovered my true passion—helping individuals and teams adapt to new cultural landscapes.

Founding Be-a-chameleon

Singapore was a catalyst for my mission, and it was there that the idea for Be-a-chameleon was born. I realized that my calling was to empower people to embrace their cultural and cognitive differences, bridge divides, and thrive in multicultural settings. I wanted to create environments where all cultures and perspectives are celebrated, respected, and understood.

A Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Today, through Be-a-chameleon, I am committed to fostering cultural adaptation, intercultural communication, cognitive diversity, create psychologically safe workplaces and personal growth. My approach is empathic, interactive, and reflective, facilitating profound transformations in individuals and teams. My ultimate goal is to nurture diverse and inclusive teams, where every voice is not just accepted but valued.
